Have you been searching for a big fluffy friend full of endless love and loyalty? If yes, then you must meet our newest foster dog, the gentle Gemma .

Gemma is just about as lovely as can be. She is happy to go for a walk and then lie at your feet or even better have cuddles on the couch. Gemma likes dogs, ignores cats, and absolutely adores all people.

Gemma was adopted last year through us to someone who loves her very much (notice her gorgeous appearance courtesy of a recent trip to the groomer) but unfortunately the owner has lost his housing and very sadly can’t keep her anymore.

Gemma is approximately 5-7 years old, 65 lbs - our best guess is a Golden/lab mix. She loves to be with her people and would love a home with time to spend with her. She’s had a recent vet check and had her vaccine boosters.

Meet Clifford - the big red dog! Well, he might not be very red, but he’s definitely big. Clifford is a 3 year old happy goofball who loves everyone. And just to be clear - all 120 lbs of Clifford LOVES Everyone.

Some of you might remember Clifford from a few months ago. Clifford was adopted by a family in Victoria but they don’t have the proper time or space to meet Clifford’s needs. Clifford really needs a home with some property so he can get out and run around.

Clifford is currently in foster in Brentwood Bay and looking for a home where he can get the love, attention and exercise he deserves! His heart is truly as big as he is

Clifford is smart and highly trainable, very treat motivated and knows basic commands and walks well on a leash. He gets excited when people come over to visit (barks) but then settles and loves to lay down in front of the fire (or on your feet). He is full of kindness and patience - I’ve seen a little kid full weight stand on his foot and he didnt even raise an eyebrow at her (not that i recommended doing that!). He is a happy guy that grew up around family and grandkids. He can be a bit protective if other dogs are dominant towards him, but it’s not an issue with a firm hand. Clifford is also recently vet checked and up to date on his vaccines.

Introducing Bear, our newest foster dog! He has only been with us for a week but has already acquired many nicknames - Bear Bear, Little Guy, Meat Loaf, Sparkle Pony.....and i'm sure many more to come

Bear is a 5 year old Chihuahua mix - he is a very special and deserving boy.

Bear's life has been very, well, full of treats so he’s a little chubby!! He didn't get out for a lot of walks and he hasn't been super well socialized so can be a bit slow to warm up. He is a good boy though and making a lot of progress even just in the past 5 days. Once he knows and trusts you, he will be your shadow and forever loyal He ignores our cat and has done well with meeting other dogs. He decided today that he wants cuddles and our daughter said he would be a wonderful emotional support dog.

His owner loved him very much but sadly passed away recently after an extended illness. Bear has been through a lot of changes recently, and looking for someone who can offer him a loving and safe forever home.

Bear is a bit of a love project. He needs to lose some weight and needs a lot of love. He is a very good boy and spunky too! Bear is neutered, housetrained, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and otherwise healthy.
